The Arts, Literature & Education: Cultural Series

Curated by Lisa Pisano

We are excited to kick off a new series of programming as part of The Arts, Literature & Education function of The Contemporary Club of Ho-Ho-Kus. Each month, look for an activity (or two!) rooted in The Arts that is designed to enrich you culturally, inspire you and broaden your perspective. The events also promise to be a really fun day/night out and yet another opportunity to get to know fellow club members while taking in a cultural experience.

Our events will be communicated via email, www.ccofhhk.com and via CC of HHK Facebook group, and will also be discussed at our monthly meetings. Currently, Cultural Series events are only open to CC of HHK members, or perspective members.

What’s Ahead This Fall:

Thurs., 9/24, 9:30am – 11:30am

“Hemlines and Lattes” – Ridgewood, NJ

Join us at The Schoolhouse Museum at 650 E. Glen Avenue for a private tour of “Hemlines” – an exhibit showcasing women’s clothing from the turn of the century through the 1960s. All garments on display have been donated by local women. We’ll spend about an hour at the museum and then head to Raymond’s for tea and lattes.

Cost: $5 cash donation payable at museum, $5-10 cash for Raymonds – let Lisa know if you can join us by Monday, 9/21: LDPCOMM@yahoo.com

Mon, 10/26, 8pm – 10pm

Painting at Pinot’s Palette – Ridgewood NJ

Join us for a night of vino and painting — bring your own bottle and take home a masterpiece! No experience necessary – this is an easy, relaxed guided experience for those not so artistically inclined…and for those who are, too!

Cost: $35, Must Register by 10/15: check payable to CC of HHK – drop in Lisa’s mailbox: 622 Warren Avenue.
