Each month we’ll be highlighting a member of the Contemporary Club of Ho-Ho-Kus through a member profile here in the Blog section of our website.  These posts allow us to learn more about the women who comprise our club, providing a snapshot of their interests, family and life. You may discover that you worked at the same company or that you love the same restaurant for date night. Or you may be stumped by the “Two Truths and a Lie” final question. Enjoy!

1. What is/was your profession?

I used to work as a school-based occupational therapist as well as a yoga instructor.  I am currently a stay at home mom with my 3-year-old son, Dylan.

2. What made you decide to join the Contemporary Club? What has your favorite part been thus far?

I joined the Contemporary Club to meet other women in town as well as have a way to give back to the community.  My favorite part has been meeting other moms and kids through playgroups.  Dylan has rapidly been making new friends!

3. How do you like living in HHK? Where did you live previously?

We love HHK!  We moved here from NYC and love having more space, a backyard, a strong sense of community with a small town feel.

4. What is/are your favorite local restaurant(s) for dining: a. with the kids  b. for date night/girls night out?

We like Matthew’s Diner, Blue Moon, and Sicilian Sun with our son and love the brunch at Janice’s.

5. Spring is coming — what do you do to usher in the new season?  What are you most looking forward to doing once the snow melts and the weather warms up?

I am excited see the flowers come up in our front yard as well as plant our vegetable garden.  Nothing beats picking your food for dinner!  I’m most looking forward to walks and bike rides through our neighborhood and into town once the weather warms up.

 6. Please tell us Two Truths and One Lie about yourself….

1.  I have met Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky.

2.  I have sectioned hiked the Appalachian Trail.

3.  I used to give walking tours in New York City.
